Murat Evgin Takes His Pluribus Song to MIPCOM Cannes

The musician behind the Pluribus song met producers and the new Baywatch cast in Cannes.

Turkish musician Murat Evgin, whose song appears in the series “Pluribus”, attended the MIPCOM content market in Cannes, France, according to Hürriyet. He met producers there and held meetings. The visit shows how a Turkish voice can reach the international television business through a single soundtrack placement.

Hürriyet also reports that Evgin met actors Stephen Amell and Brooks Nader at the fair and posed for a photo with them. Both are part of the cast of a new version of “Baywatch”, which the paper says will air in 2027. In Turkey the original 1990s series is known as “Sahil Güvenlik”.

Murat Evgin’s Pluribus song, in brief

Evgin recorded a Turkish-language version of John Lennon’s “Nobody Told Me” for the Apple TV series “Pluribus”. Film Music Reporter says Milan Records released the track on 7 November 2025, the day the series premiered. The Turkish title is “Bugünleri de mi Görecektik?” and the song plays at the end of the second episode.

Evgin has said the project began with a video call with music supervisor Thomas Golubic. The series wanted cover versions of counterculture songs from the 1960s and 1970s in different languages. According to Evgin, he chose the Lennon track from a list and added Turkish instruments such as the kanun (a plucked zither), cümbüş, darbuka and def.

Why MIPCOM matters for Turkish creators

MIPCOM is an annual trade fair where broadcasters, producers and distributors meet to buy, sell and develop television content. Turkish drama companies and stars use it to present their series to foreign buyers. Evgin’s visit adds a musician to that picture, since music supervisors and producers also shape how a series sounds to a global audience.

Hürriyet does not say which producers Evgin met or what was discussed. It also does not mention any new project. For now, the confirmed facts are his attendance, the meetings and the photo with the “Baywatch” cast.
