Altı Üstü İstanbul Stars Promote ATV Drama at MIPCOM 2026
Rahimcan Kapkap and Elçin Zehra İrem visited the ATV stand at MIPCOM 2026 in Cannes.
The young leads of ATV’s series Altı Üstü İstanbul, Rahimcan Kapkap and Elçin Zehra İrem, have promoted the show at MIPCOM 2026 in Cannes. The pair visited the ATV stand at the international television market, and the visit is part of Turkish drama’s wider push abroad.
Sabah reported on 15 October that the actors met visitors and fans at the fair. They also walked past billboards showing the series’ posters on the streets of Cannes.
What the Altı Üstü İstanbul cast did in Cannes
According to Sabah, the two actors drew strong interest at the fair, and many people asked for photos. In interviews at the ATV stand, they said they had reached a point beyond their dreams.
They described themselves as representatives of a team of about 300 people. They said they were proud to present the series on an international platform. They also said it motivates them when viewers from different cultures connect with the story, and that the warm response makes them eager for new projects.
ATV General Manager Ali Türkarslan, Deputy General Manager Dilaver Kıvrak and Content Sales Group Manager Müge Akar hosted the actors. Producer Mehmet Yiğit Alp was also there. Sabah says the meeting covered the series’ promotion and its path in different markets.
How MIPCOM fits into the series’ international plans
MIPCOM is an annual television content market held in Cannes, where broadcasters, distributors and platforms buy and sell programmes. This year’s edition ran from 12 to 15 October. Yeni Asır reported before the event that the actors would attend an ATV-hosted gathering with senior channel and platform executives on 12 October. A visit to the ATV stand followed on 13 October.
The same outlet says the series is sold abroad under the title Different Lives. It adds that ATV Distribution licenses it in international markets and that NTC Medya produced it. Yeni Asır describes the show as following varied lives and intersecting paths.
Sabah does not say whether any sales or licensing deals were agreed. Readers should treat the visit as a promotional appearance, not a confirmed sale.
Why Turkish dramas keep going to Cannes
Turkish producers and broadcasters use MIPCOM to show buyers both their stars and their catalogues. Actors on the ground help put a human face on a series that foreign buyers may never have seen. Altı Üstü İstanbul is a contemporary story, unlike the historical epics that many OsmanOnline readers follow. Still, it shows that the export push covers many genres.
For fans of period dramas, such events matter too. For example, you can watch Kuruluş Osman episodes with English subtitles to see how a long-running historical series built its audience. The same market structure supports both modern and historical productions.
Sabah gave no further details on new projects for the two actors. Any follow-up announcements will need to come from ATV or the production team.
