Güneşin Doğduğu Yer: Rain-Soaked Rescue Scene Behind the Scenes
Photos from the atv drama show the sixth-episode rescue being filmed in the rain.
New behind-the-scenes photos from the atv drama Güneşin Doğduğu Yer show Burak Özçivit and Beyza Gümülcine filming a river rescue in the rain. The scene appears in the series’ sixth episode. Sabah published the images on 25 October 2026.
The series is produced by TİMSBİ Productions. Its producers are Timur Savcı and Burak Sağyaşar. Özçivit plays Kenan and Gümülcine plays Leyla.
What happens in the Güneşin Doğduğu Yer rescue scene
In the episode’s storyline, Kenan and Leyla’s son Emir falls into a creek on his birthday. He was trying to reach his balloon. The parents jump into the water without hesitation and fight the current to reach him.
Sabah describes the sequence as tense on screen but relaxed off camera. The crew reportedly also entered the water to work alongside the actors. The published frames show the lighter side of a demanding shoot.
Why water scenes are demanding to film
Rescue sequences like this need careful planning, because actors, camera operators and safety staff must all work in moving water. Sabah does not describe the safety arrangements or how long the shoot took. We have not seen any production statement on those details, so we do not speculate.
Özçivit is among the best-known faces of Turkish historical drama, mainly for his lead role in Kuruluş Osman. Güneşin Doğduğu Yer is a contemporary story. Reports on the series place it in Çukurova, with the relationship between Kenan and Leyla beginning in Germany, and much of the action set in Adana.
Where to follow the series
The drama began on atv in September 2026, according to Turkish press reports. Viewers who want to follow it can find episodes with English subtitles on our Güneşin Doğduğu Yer page.
The sixth-episode scene is the main detail confirmed here. Sabah has not said whether more behind-the-scenes material will follow.
