Sevdam Karadeniz Ends After Episode 4: What We Know
The NOW drama ends tonight after four episodes; the reason is not officially confirmed.
Sevdam Karadeniz, the NOW series set in the Black Sea region, reaches its final episode tonight, Monday, 2 November 2026. The drama premiered on 12 October 2026, so its run will cover only four episodes. Viewers are asking why it ended so quickly, and the reason has not been officially confirmed.
CNN Türk reports that Sevdam Karadeniz will meet its audience for the last time this evening. The broadcaster’s report says that low ratings are the explanation circulating in the press. It does not cite an official statement from NOW or the production team.
Sevdam Karadeniz final date and the ratings claim
The series began on a Monday evening and is closing on a Monday evening. CNN Türk describes the fourth episode as the finale. Other Turkish outlets say journalist Birsen Altuntaş was the first to report the early ending, on 20 October, after the second episode.
The ratings explanation is therefore a claim from the press, not a statement from the channel. We have found no comment from NOW that explains the decision.
There was also a moment of doubt. On 23 October, producer Banu Akdeniz shared a photo of the lead characters with the caption “Perde kapanmadı” (“The curtain has not closed”). Some commentators read it as a sign the show might continue. A Turkish report noted that the post did not confirm a reversal, and the finale date has stayed the same.
Story, cast and filming locations
The drama follows two long-established Black Sea families. Hafize Alazlı (played by Ayşegül Günay) and Durali Yeniceli (Şerif Erol) share a hostility that reaches back years. Their grandchildren, Kuzey (Erdem Adilce) and Zeyşan (Meltem Akçöl), are pushed into a forced marriage. According to the CNN Türk summary, secrets, forbidden love and vows of revenge surround the young couple, who must make a choice that could change their families’ fate.
The cast also includes Deniz Hamzaoğlu, Sema Keçik, Emre Bulut, Leyla Kırşan, Ece Dizdar and Mustafa Kırantepe. Filming took place mostly in Maçka, a district of Trabzon on the Black Sea coast. The first scenes were shot in Istanbul before the crew moved to Trabzon.
Why short runs matter to viewers
Turkish series are usually judged by overnight ratings, and a weak start can lead a channel to shorten a run. Fans of the genre often follow a show for months, so a four-episode run is unusual. Any confirmed explanation will have to come from NOW or the production company.
Viewers who want longer historical dramas can find episodes of Kuruluş Osman with English subtitles on our site.
For now, the only confirmed facts are the premiere date, the cast and the finale scheduled for tonight. Readers should check NOW’s official channels for any closing statement.
